Government's $3m plan to save critically endangered sea lions

Their are people in New Zealand, that can give in money so that they can save the endangered sea lions. The sea lions live in New Zealand and they are endangered because their are not that many sea lions that live in New Zealand. Their's about 12,000 sea lions that are remaining in New Zealand. Nearly all of them breed on Campbell and Auckland islands, and there are small populations on the lower South Island and Stewart Island. Also the Government ministers say that this plan will go on for about five years. I think that this is very good because they are helping the sea lions of New Zealand.

All Blacks Beat Lions In First Test

Last week on Saturday the All Blacks won agents the Lions. Also the All Blacks had the first try.Then the points was 30-15 and it was a relay good game. They both played well and they both had the strength to play as a team. The was in Auckland and it was relay full because their was a lot of people there. Also Auckland after a dominating second half, which included two tries from winger Rieko Ioane. They now have a one-nil lead in the three-Test series. I think that the game was very fun to watch, and it was very good that I watched it with my family.

MPI initiating immediate response to myrtle rust

Their is a new disease that had been speared around on the New Zealand land. Also the Ministry for Primary (MPI) has discorded a new disease called myrtle rust. This is the first time that it has happened in New Zealand. They also say that people should not go and touch it if they see it. The  Minister Nathan Guy is getting people that have bought plants from Kerikeri nurseries to check for myrtle rust. The disease can cause serious damage to the native and plant that is known in New Zealand in the Pohutukawa. The disease can travel on wind and speared relay fast. Also the MPI says that their no method of controlling the disease in the wind.

Fifth group of NZ troops heading to Iraq

The New Zealand Defence Force troops are ready to go to Iraq. Their is 106 New Zealanders and Australian's are going to head to Iraq in the late May. Brigadier Mike Shapland the NZDF's commander went to Australia last week to tell the troop. That they have to get ready for a deployment that is going to happen in the late May. Their will be a group called the Taji and they have been trained for more than 21,000. It is called the Taji because they have New Zealand and Australia, and they going as under cover Iraq Security. They are have completed their mission from when they began in may 2015.

Bill English gets some professional pizza help from Nadia Lim

A week after our Prime Minister Bill English had a meeting to go to he had gone home and cooked some pizza. But he had to have some cooking lesson with one of the country's celebrity chefs. The famous chef that he was having a lesson with was chef Nadia Lim. Then he did a very infamous post about what he had done and they did a very good job with making pizza. I think that it mast of been fun cooking with a very good chef. I think that he might need a little bit more help the next time he cooks.

Indian business owners planning to arm themselves

Indian business owners says shopkeepers should consider holding firearms behind the counter in the face of a spate of dairy robberies. This is very good because it will keep them safe, but it is also bad at the same time because someone might get very heart from getting beaten from a stick or something the Shop Keepers has. The Auckland Indian Association says that the young people have no fear of police or the consequences if they're caught by the police. Their are lots of people doing these things and the Shop Keepers have told news hub about these thing happening. They say that it has happened for three to four time a week and they say that they want all of this to stop. I think that these people that are doing these kind of thing should perhaps they should see what it makes their family feel like.

Dead killer whale washes up in Auckland

A killer whale has been washed up on a West Auckland beach and they say the people that was around their where this happened. The the killer whale must been hit by a boat that was on top of  it when it was swimming. Also the men that was their knew that it was an adult and is a male. The killer whale was found on Whatipu Beach and their was lots of blood all over the killer whale.  The beach has been reported to the Department of Conservation (DOC) which asked permission from local kiwi's. So the men can go and start a look out for what had killed this killer Whale or how it got washed up on the beach of Whatipu. They will start looking on Tuesday for what had happen.

We've got to plan for a more resilient Auckland

Phil Goff says that we need to look into why the region's dams silted in an "unprecedented" way, threatening the drinking water supply in New Zealand's largest city. Also the rain has made some floods around Auckland. So that has made the rangers water go dirty because the mud that was around it has gone down into the water. Because the rangers give to Auckland is now dirty they can only give us a little bit of water. If the water that they give us is dirty then you must heat your water before drinking. So we need to look after our water because we might not get anymore from the rangers. the floods have also made the water that came from the rain go into peoples homes. So now their homes are wet and their things are too.

New Zealand collectively celebrated Guy Fawkes last night with Police and the Fire Service dealing with dozens of calls across the country. Three people were injured by fireworks – two of them seriously. Firefighters responded to more than twice the number of fireworks call-outs than last year in what they say was a very disappointing night. Guy Fawkes occurs on the 5th November each year. Fireworks are only allowed to be purchased by those over  18 and stores can only sell them for four days.
