WBO World Heavy weight Title Fight - Joseph Parker vs Andy Ruiz

Joseph Parker is having a heavy weight title fight at the Vector Arena. When their is 10,000 passionate fans will come together for the single most best sporting event ever held in New Zealand. Also Ruiz thinks that he will win the heavy weight title fight and be very happy about it and act lie he is cool.

Oamaru builds tunnel to help penguins

Oamaru has built a 25 meter tunnel to help their local penguins pass the busy road between the sea and their nests. Penguins in the town are rare ‘blue’ penguins, the smallest kind in the world, and are an endangered species. Before the underpass, the birds crossed the road protected only by a “penguin crossing” sign. The underpass was started in September this year, and was opened earlier this month. Oamaru’s blue penguin colony is one of the few populations in the world that is actually growing.

Little Mix coming to New Zealand in 2017

 

Their is a known girl group coming to New Zealand next year in 2017. This is a very big surprise to all of us. They are from the UK and they were pretty cool when they were on TV. The girls are bringing a special Tour to Auckland Vector Arena for just one night only on July the 30th. Little Mix was first formed in 2011 during the eighth series of the X Factor UK. They were then put into a group even when they came as individual artists.By: N.Z Herald

Kiwis spark schoolies brawl during haka on Gold Coast

Their was a big fight at the Gold Coast where there was a haka going on. Two Australians made fun of the the Maoridoing the haka. There were also eleven people taken into custody because of the fight. Eight of those were for possession of drugs, police told the Gold Coast Bulletin. 

Taika Waititi, Parris Goebel, Eleanor Catton NZ Art Award recipients

Each year in New Zealand's best artists are recognised by the Arts Foundation and rewarded for their talents, achievements and efforts. Waititi and Catton are recipients of the Laureate Award, with a cash award of $50,000, while Goebel receives the New Generation Award of $25,000. It's like you go off into the world with your art and here's a little helping hand, a little shove says Waititi. Catton received the New Generation Award in 2012 which she says was the reason she could write The Luminaries. I was living on the smell of an oily rag. It allowed me to survive a whole year without having to get a job, says the writer. I think that this is very cool because she is getting all of this money that she has revised by all of these people.

Earthquake: Two dead in 7.5-magnitude quake

There was this big earthquake down in Wellington early this morning and  two people have died from it. It was a massive 7.6-magnitude earthquake. Our Prime Minister John Key says...
 "On the best information we have there's been two fatalities. At this point we're unable to give you precise information on what caused those fatalities.  We think it's only likely to be two - there are isolated parts of the country that we don't have perfect eyes on so we can't be 100 per cent sure."

Moana

The best part of the movie was when she was a baby and she went towards the sea and it moved away, then came back and they became friends. What made me feel like I was going to cry was when the song of the movie came on while she was playing in the water. I didn’t really think that I would end up crying when this part of the movie came on. I think that this was a good experience for me.
