Dear Mum and Dad.
We have arrived here at Gallipoli and we are about to start fighting. I am so scared because it is my first time doing these things like this. I prayed before we started then it was time to fight.
Everywhere I look all I see around me is people that are sad because some died.
I am enjoying the letters you sent from home they make me so happy,good and excited.
Send my love to you and dad and to all of the family.
I miss you all terribly because it has been a long time since I have seen you all.
